The Reptile Man

London showing off a tortise...she was relieved it was a tortise in the box, because the reptile man told her he was going to open the box and she had to reach in and take whatever was in there out!

Today we went to see the reptile man at one of the library summer events. He was really funny and the kids loved it. We were in the front row, which made some of the reptiles a little too close for mine and Cole's liking. London got pulled up as a volunteer, luckily it was a tortise that she got to hold. She still seemed a little timid, so the reptile man had the tortise give her a little kiss. Cade had no fear about touching this huge snake, it gave me the creeps...we saw all kinds of snakes, lizards, and alligators. At the end the reptile man gave Cade his own snake skin, which is now in a cage in his room. I think we can manage that as a pet.

that's fun. i bet london was relieved to have it only be a tortoise. that alligator thing makes me nervous too.

So I seriously would just stay in the back of the room away from that snake. That is so gross. Cade was so brave!! I will never hold a snake. gives me the creeps just thinking of it. And good on you London! I still wouldn't touch anything like that!
