Christmas Downtown

Our Evening Downtown was all too familiar...but I guess that is what a tradition is, and the kids love this one. First stop, to see the big 75 foot tree in Pioneer Square. Then we went to Macy's to walk around the now kind of lame Santa-Land, the kids sat in the old monorail, reminiscing about how cool it was when it actually traveled around the ceiling, instead of sitting on the ground, London stood in the snowman that measures your height and realized she would have been to tall anyway... We decided to past on Santa since we are going to breakfast with Santa, we already saw Santa on our Thanksgiving trip and at Washington Square...we don't want to over do it, ya know. Macy's also didn't have their fun Christmas windows...c'mon Macy's we liked you better when you were Meier and Frank! We headed to Pioneer Place for a snack in the food court and then walked around a bit... Mike got ripped off at that by the pound candy store...Then London remembered that last year it snowed inside the mall, so we waited for that. That was very cool, hopefully the only snow we see this year in Portland won't be just soap bubbles.
